Dear Grace Life,
Today is a big day in the life of our church as it marks the one year anniversary of the Spanish translation of our services. The translation of the messages has evolved into a Spanish speaking Sunday School class and Grace Life Group. We pray that Grace Life will exist for the spread of the Gospel for all people in every language in Cypress and Houston!
What would it look like if Grace Life was to serve our immediate community in tangible ways? Jesus taught us that the second greatest commandment is to love our neighbor (Matthew 22:39). We love others because Jesus has shown and continues to demonstrate love to us. This past week I met with the principal of Goodson Middle School, Mrs. McCaig, and Emily P. who oversees the mentoring program. We met to discuss how Grace Life could meet the needs of the teachers and students at Goodson. I came away very encouraged.
We now have the opportunity to “adopt” Goodson Middle School as our own. Over the next week or so I will be sharing how we can love those at Goodson Middle.
Toward the end of this month Mrs. McCaig will be with us on a Sunday where we will officially “adopt” Goodson and where she will share some of the needs of our school.
With great love,
