Speakers: Michael & Christy Boys
Michael Boys serves us as Teaching Pastor at Christ Community Church here in Houston. His eclectic ministry philosophy has been influenced by three godly yet quite diverse men: His dad, who instilled in his children a rock-solid understanding of right and wrong; John MacArthur, who models a radical commitment to biblical authority in preaching; and Haddon Robinson, who extols an unrelenting insistence on practical application of all of God’s truth.
He and Christy are most grateful for two gifted sons, two amazing daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren apparently untainted with original sin.
Michael is a graduate of Baptist Bible College (BA), The Master’s Seminary (MDiv), and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (DMin). He has pastored churches in Michigan, California, and Texas.
Leading Worship: Blake and Bekah Boys
Blake has been serving as the Associate Pastor of Music and Media at Lakeside Bible Church since June, 2007. He was raised in Bear Valley Springs , California where he began leading worship as a young student. Blake attended The Master’s College where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Music : Theory and Composition. After graduating from college, he and his wife, Bekah, moved to Sonoma County, California to serve as the worship leaders in a church plant led by Blake’s former youth pastor and longtime friend. It was during that time God made it more clear to Blake and Bekah that He was calling them to full-time vocational ministry.
Blake’s passion is worshiping God through music, media and seeing others come to know Christ more through God’s work in the local church. Blake and Bekah were married in 2004 and have two children; Owen & Lucy. In addition to leading our worship Blake and Bekah will be overseeing our children’s program (K-5) during the weekend.
